Machina Awakening

Awakening Quest

January Awakening Quest

  • [Level 90][Awakening] Call of Power
  • You can proceed with this quest if you have a second specialization. (Classes without Awakening cannot receive this quest.)
  • If you do not have a second specialization, you will receive an exclamation mark, but not the quest.
  • You can obtain the quest from Priestess of Darkness Mocha.
  • After completing all of the related quests, you can use Awakening skills by opening the “Awakening” tab of the skill window.

Awakening Details

Machina Awakening

Ruina

  • Prior to Awakening, Ruina’s problem was that all of her damage came from linking skills together and following up with Overcharge. In order to fix this problem, Overcharge has been changed to a cooldown skill with its own damage. Through additional input, you can choose to use additional attacks without moving forward.
  • Also, Ducking has been revamped so that you can cancel it at any time during main skills, allowing it to be linked to other skills and a variety of combos to suit your tastes and skill level.
  • For complete freedom with your linked skills, Gear Step no longer increases the damage of linked skills.
  • In addition, Steam management has been simplified, and it is easier to manage the enemies without the repetitive use of Ducking. The ease-of-use of various skills, including Awakening ones, has been increased.

Rock Fist (Active)

  • Strongly punch the ground up to four times, creating a circular shockwave around you.
  • Afterwards, pieces of debris fly up to attack the enemy. The amount of debris depends on the amount of times you punched the ground.
  • Can be used in the air.

Beast Rush (Active)

  • After dashing forward and hitting the enemy with your shoulder, unleash a frenzy of Ruina skills.
  • Invincible during the frenzy.
  • Can be cancelled at any time with Duck.

[Awakened Passive] Ducking

  • Ducking can be cancelled at any time during Follow Up, Exploding Palm, Flying Knee-Kick, Kidney Blow, and Overcharge. When cancelled, its cooldown decreases.

[Awakened Passive] Overclock

  • When buffed, if you land critical hits, additional damage will be applied.
  • (Overclock has been changed to a general buff skill. For more details, please see “Machina Awakening Skill Balancing”)

[Awakened Passive] Steam Mastery

  • Gain 2 Steam when you use Follow Up, Exploding Palm, Flying Knee-Kick, or Kidney Blow.

[Awakened Passive] Overcharge

  • Increases the damage of Overcharge. If you enter the backwards button during the second stage, you can launch a powerful attack without moving forward.

Defensio

  • With Machina Awakening, healers and tanks have been revamped.
  • Normally, [Awakened Passive] Overclock would grant a shield to an ally that absorbs damage by a certain percentage of HP.
  • For further details, please refer to “Machina Awakening Skill Balancing.”
  • Like with Ruina, Gear Step no longer increases the damage of linked skills. However, [Awakened Passive] Airflow Mastery can create Healing Energy, and this energy can be exploded with Reverse Order, an Awakening active, to deal damage. In addition, more skills have been made usable in the air.

Reverse Order (Active)

  • Commands the Healing Energy around you to change into Explosive Energy and attack the enemy.
  • Also, if there is a Mark on the enemy from Taunting Blow, it explodes with the energy.

Ruination (Active)

  • Jump into the air and strike the ground with your fist, lifting the terrain up to generate shockwaves that damage the enemy.

[Awakened Passive] Aerial Parry

  • Aerial Parry activates automatically when you are hit on the ground or in the air.

[Awakened Passive] Overclock

  • When using Overclock, grants a friendly shield to an ally for a certain amount of time, that absorbs damage based on their HP.

[Awakened Passive] Taunting Blow

  • Enables the use of Taunting Blow in the air. Using it in this way recovers half of its cooldown.
    However, aerial Taunting Blow does not cause Provoke or a Mark.

[Awakened Passive] Airflow Mastery

  • Link Step Up with Beatdown or Twister Kick to generate 1 Healing Energy.

Skill Balancing

These apply to both PVE and PVP, except damage increases of Patrona, Defensio, and Ruina skills, which only apply to PVE.

Machina

Fly-by

  • When Fly-by hits and leads to a rolling attack, you can move the camera.

Charging Gear

  • It no longer inherits the damage of previous skills, and deals damage according to its own board damage.

Lariat

  • Increased its base damage. Fly-by no longer increases its damage.

Patrona

Flying Knee-kick, Kidney Blow, Beatdown, Overheat

  • Damage increased.

Overclock

  • The animation has changed and it is now a normal buff. When buffed, your physical defense increases proportional to your physical attack.

Follow Up

  • Damage increased.
  • The debuff has been moved to Steam Release.

Exploding Palm

  • Damage increased.
  • Instead of blowing enemies away, it pulls them toward you.

Aerial Parry

  • Healing Energy generation has been removed.
  • Items related to Aerial Parry have been removed. You will be given a tech converter when you log in.

Ducking

  • Can be cancelled at any time with other skills.
  • Items related Ducking have been removed. You will be given a tech converter when you log in.

Beyond the Wall

  • The ability to grab allies has been removed.
  • When catching an enemy, it changes to an offensive skill that deals damage.
  • The ability to recapture an enemy has been removed. After catching an enemy, hold Space to keep moving forward.
  • Increases the damage of main aerial skills for some time.

Twister Kick

  • Damage increased.
  • Height decreased.
  • You can move the camera while moving forward.

Deus ex Machina

  • Damage increased.
  • When the Whirlpool collides with you, it has been changed to deal continuous damage to nearby enemies.

Strike of the Martyr

  • Damage increased.
  • The damage reduction effect has been changed to only apply to yourself.

Ruina

Exploding Palm EX

  • Instead of blowing enemies away, it pulls them toward you.
  • The additional attacks are now created without the need to click Special Attack.

Overcharge

  • It no longer inherits the damage of previous skills, and deals damage according to its own board damage.
  • Added skill cooldown.

Pressure Release (Attack)

  • No longer consumes Steam.

Class Mastery I

  • Removed the increase in Final Damage.
  • Added an increase in physical attack.

Class Mastery III

  • Increased the damage increase for Pivot Strike.

Defensio

Aerial Parry EX

  • The Healing Energy has been changed to only apply to yourself.
  • Increases the Healing Energy duration.

Auto-repair

  • Cooldown changed.

Taunting Blow

  • Damage increased.
  • Provokes enemies regardless of Mark.
  • Simplified the effects of Mark explosion.

Pressure Release (Defense)

  • No longer consumes Steam.

Class Mastery I

  • Removed the increase in Final Damage.
  • Added an increase in physical attack.

Class Mastery III

  • Increased the damage increase for Lariat.

Changes and Additions

Hero Level Changes

Hero Level Cap has been raised

  • Hero levels have been raised significantly to allow for continuous growth
  • Maximum level is set so that the cap cannot be raised. T/N Weird translation, probably should be read as in “will never have to be raised”
  • Your existing hero experience will be reflected in your new hero level

Hero Level EXP Changes

  • Hero level EXP gain in dungeons and nests have been greatly increased (Additional supplements will be provided in various ways as well to acquire more)

Hero Level Bonuses Changes

  • Depending on the level, only 3 stats (PDMG/MDMG/FD) will be increased
  • PDMG/MDMG grow steadily with each level, whereas FD grows by its own pattern
  • Other stats such as CRIT and HP no longer are granted

PvP Rank Changes

Rank Rewards

  • Items with rank restriction no longer have a restriction
  • Sale of equipment and titles that increase PvP stats sold at the Ladder Shop are no longer available

Ladder Point Gain Restrictions

  • You no longer need to do a certain number of matches and wins to earn Ladder Points. Ladder Points can be gained any time that you win instead.
  • Ladder Point cap has been increased from 3,000 to 20,000 points

Ladder Shop Reorganization

  • New items can now be purchased at the Ladder Shop
  • You can purchase Hector Equipment (previously known as Slayer Equipment) that can be also found in Slayer Mode

[Awakened Passive] Havoc Howl

  • Barrier durability now depends on the target’s HP.

  • Cooldown increased from 10s to 75s.
  • Duration increased from 20s to 25.
  • Fury consumption increased from 10 to 20.

Maelstrom Howl

  • Damage increased from 2629% to 3893%.

Class Mastery I

  • Added a 50% STR increase passive.

Crash Mode

  • Forward: Moves forward while dragging your enemy along (Damage 298%).
  • Normal Attack: Slams the ground to cause Shock Waves and pull nearby enemies (Damage 4165%). Doesn’t slam the ground if Normal Attack is used continuously.
  • Special Attack: Blasts enemies in front away (Damage 5950%).
  • Jump: Pulls in nearby enemies (Damage 2975%)
  • Increases critical chance by 20%.
  • Recovers 2% HP every 2 seconds.
  • All incoming damage reduced by 70%.
  • Cooldown increased from 8s to 75s.
  • Duration increased from 15s to 25s.

[Awakened Passive] Empowering Howl

  • Special Attack input removed.
  • The Final Damage increase only applies to yourself.

Block

  • Amount of blocks reduced from 12 to 5.

Redemption Aura

  • Healing increase reduced from 20% to 10%.

Autoblock

  • Probability reduced from 21% to 15%.

  • Can now be used during all skills.

Divine Ascension

  • Changed to active skill. (Can still be used the same way as before.)
  • No longer consumes Guardian’s Grace.

Divine Vengeance

  • Damage increased from 2465% to 6508%.

Divine Punishment

  • Cooldown decreased from 60s to 5s.

Aerial Block

  • Skill removed.

Divine Judgment

  • Skill added.
  • Hits a wide range of enemies in front of you.
  • Physical damage 4400%

Heart of Glory

  • Removed VIT increase.
  • Cooldown increased from 150s to 170s.

  • Added HP recovery increase effect.
  • Increases HP recovery to 3.5% every 2 seconds.
  • Recovers additional HP by 35% of your magic attack.
  • Reduces the cooldown of Healing Relic by 40s.
  • MP recovery effect removed.

Cure Relic EX

  • Reduces the cooldown of Cure Relic by 45s.

Class Mastery II

  • Damage increase changed from 5% to 10%.

Immortality

  • New skill.
